Position Design Evaluation Engineer Date 3rd November 2010 Role ON Semiconductor Ireland currently has a vacancy for a Design Evaluation Engineer. This position will be based in the Limerick Design centre. The successful candidate will work with the design evaluation team to develop measurement capability for the characterisation and debug of mixed signal integrated circuits. This will involve working with the new product development team to generate a characterisation plan to allow the complete evaluation of new products to ensure they meet all functionality and datasheet specifications. The Design Evaluation Engineer is responsible for 1) Pre-Silicon verification of the design using simulation tools. 2) Development of mixed signal measurement techniques. 3) PCB Design to allow identified measurements and characterisation to be made. 4) Labview software development to supply stimulus, capture & process responses from the device. 5) Debug of silicon issues to root cause. 6) Generation of reports on silicon performance for the new product development team. Requirements Contact Details The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in an electronic engineering field. Experience in board level design & debug & Labview development would be an advantage.
