© The Dark Pixie Astrology The Perfect Home We all have an idea in our heads of what we’d like our perfect house to look like, or perfect home life to be like. You can actually find your ideal home and home life from your chart and try to manifest that in your life. Before you begin, you will need to know a few placements from your natal chart. They are: 4th house sign, planets, and ruler Moon sign, house, and aspects House with Cancer on the cusp Do you need to create your natal chart? Watch the video on the Free Astrology Courses page for instructions on how to do so via astro.com, and how to figure out the placements in your chart. www.thedarkpixieastrology.com/free-astrology-courses 2 © The Dark Pixie Astrology 3 FIRST: 4TH HOUSE OF HOME The 4th house rules your home and home life. From studying your 4th house, you can find what type of home you want (literally), and what type of home environment you want. First, look to see what sign is on the cusp of your 4th house (the cusp of a house is the very beginning of that house). The sign on the cusp is the most important part of your 4th house, and if you pay attention to nothing else covered in this mini course, pay attention to this sign. Next, you’ll look at any planets that are in your 4th house. Any planets in the 4th house will impact your 4th house, and will offer more ways for you to become famous. Check out the 4th House page on The Dark Pixie Astrology for interpretations of the 12 signs on the cusp and natal planets in the house: http://www.thedarkpixieastrology.com/the-4th-house.html But I don’t have any planets in the 4th house! Having no planets in your 4th house does NOT mean you can’t create have the kind of home and home life that you want. It simply means you don’t have as much baggage to work on going into this life with this area of life. A good thing! Once you’ve got those, then you’ll want to find the ruler of the 4th house. Every sign has a planetary ruler of that sign. They are: Aries - Mars Taurus, Libra - Venus Gemini, Virgo - Mercury Cancer - Moon Leo - Sun Scorpio - Pluto © The Dark Pixie Astrology 4 Sagittarius - Jupiter Capricorn - Saturn Aquarius - Uranus Pisces - Neptune The planetary ruler of a house is the planetary ruler of the sign on the house cusp, so whatever sign is on your 4th house cusp, the ruler of that sign is the ruler of your 4th house. The house that planet is in can give a little more information about your 4th house, with the house the ruler is in being linked to the 4th house in some way. Planetary ruler of the 4th house in the houses: 1st house - your home and home life are vital to you feeling like yourself, and can be a top priority; you may want to be the head of the house, or enjoy living alone 2nd house - financial stability can be important for you to have the home life you want, and you can want a home full of beautiful items of value 3rd house - having a home life that stimulates you mentally is important for you, and you can move a lot throughout your life, needing variety 4th house - the ruler of the house in the house gives a natural ease with the energy of that house 5th house - children can be the focal point of your home life, can prefer larger spaces, and you want a home that is colorful, fun, or bright 6th house - you want a place for everything in your home, can prefer smaller spaces, and to keep it as clean as you can; good for working from home 7th house - you prefer living with someone instead of alone, may want to live in cities instead of small towns, and want your home life to be as harmonious as possible © The Dark Pixie Astrology 5 8th house - you may want to transform old homes or have a old transformed pieces in your home, and may want control over your home life 9th house - you prefer larger spaces, can live far from where you were born, and don’t want to feel tied down, needing freedom to roam 10th house - you can be the matriarch/patriarch with your home life, and want a home that displays status but isn’t gaudy 11th house - you can live with friends and have many roommates throughout your life, and like unusual spaces or living arrangements 12th house - you need a space in your own that’s just for you to get lost in, and prefer living by the water Another thing to look at is if your 4th house cusp is at certain degrees called critical degrees. In each sign, there are 30 degrees (and in each degree, there are 60 minutes). The critical degrees are specific degrees that can mean you have more to work through, and with the 4th house, this means you’ll have to work harder and have more blocks to get through in order to create the perfect home and home life for you. The critical degrees are: 0, 13, and 26 of Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn 8-9, 21-22 of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius 4 and 17 of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces There is one more critical degree, the anaretic degree, which is 29 degrees of any sign. Having your 4th house at the anaretic degree can show that you struggle with being in the home or having the home environment that you want, and have to work harder at dealing with the blocks that are in your way. © The Dark Pixie Astrology 6 SECOND: THE MOON The Moon is the natural ruler of the 4th house, and adds to what you want your home and home life to be. Determine the sign the Moon is in and house the Moon is located. Visit The Natal Moon page of The Dark Pixie Astrology for interpretations of the Moon in the 12 signs and 12 houses: http://www.thedarkpixieastrology.com/the-natal-moon.html Next, determine the major aspects that your Moon makes to your other planets. An aspect is when two points in a chart are at certain angles to one another. If you don’t know the aspects your Moon makes, create your chart on astro.com as described in the video, and when you’ve generated the chart, click on Additional tables (PDF) on the upper left. This will generate a PDF of your chart with an Aspects table on the bottom. Find the Moon symbol: ☽ Follow the column and row for the Moon and see if any of them are filled out. Ones that are empty show no major aspects exist between the Moon and the other planet. These are the glyphs for the other planets: Sun ☉ ☿ Mercury Venus Mars ♀ ♂ Jupiter ♃ © The Dark Pixie Astrology 7 Saturn ♄ Uranus ♅ ♆ Neptune Pluto ♇ This table does show some minor aspects. For the sake of this mini course, you can just focus on the major aspects, which are: Conjunction Sextile ☌ ⚹ Square ◻ Trine △ Opposition ☍ The minor aspects that astro.com shows are (if you’re a beginner, just focus on the major ones first and get a good handle on those): Semisextile ⚺ Quincunx Quintile BiQuintile ⚻ Q bQ Semisquare © The Dark Pixie Astrology Sesquiquadrate 8 ⚼ Look at the row and column for your Moon, and see which major aspects are present with other planets. Your Moon likely won’t make more than a handful of major aspects (even less than that for some of you). This is the case for all planets, so if you don’t have more than a couple of major aspects to your Moon, don’t be alarmed. The major aspects will just have more influence over your Moon. Sextiles and trines are seen as positive, so you have an easier time manifesting the energy of the two planets together in a positive way. Squares and oppositions are seen as difficult, so you have a harder time manifesting the energy of the two planets in a positive way. That doesn’t mean that if you have only squares and oppositions to your Moon for major aspects that you’ll never be able to have a good home and home life, but you will have to work harder. Squares tend to be more internal, so if you see a square, you know it’s something you need to work on with yourself on the inside. Oppositions tend to be external, so if you see an opposition, you know that you have to learn how to manage dealing with other people and oppositional energy. Conjunctions can go either way as neutral aspects. In the natal chart, the planets conjunct your Moon is most important for Moon, and can impact what kind of home and home life you want. For interpretations of all major aspects to your natal Moon, visit The Natal Moon page of The Dark Pixie Astrology: http://www.thedarkpixieastrology.com/the-natal-moon.html © The Dark Pixie Astrology 9 Like with the 4th house, you’ll also want to see if your Moon is at a critical or anaretic degree, and if it is, it’ll be interpreted similarly to the 4th house when it comes to your home/home life. © The Dark Pixie Astrology 10 THIRD: CANCER HOUSE Cancer is the sign that the Moon rules, and the house cusp that Cancer falls on can show where you can feel at home, so look for the house cusp that has the sign of Cancer on it: ♋ It’ll be interpreted similarly to the signs on the 4th house cusp, except it’ll be assigned by house instead. You can find interpretations for Cancer on any of the 12 house cusps on the house pages on The Dark Pixie Astrology: 1st house 2nd ouse 3rd house 4th house 5th house 6th house 7th house 8th house 9th house 10th house 11th house 12th house What if I have Cancer on two house cusps? Some of you may see Cancer on two house cusps, which gives you double the possibilities for fame. Note that the first house cusp with Cancer on it might actually be taken over by your desire for a home and home life, so you have to take care that you don’t ignore the important aspects of that house for the sake of your home and family. © The Dark Pixie Astrology 11 But I don’t see Cancer on any house cusps! Some of you may have Cancer contained within a house, called intercepted. This occurs when you have Gemini on one cusp, and Leo on the next cusp, so Cancer is completely within the Gemini house. Interpret for the Gemini house, but know that when a sign is contained within a house like this, it’s difficult to access the energy of the sign. It’s being gobbled up by the house, so you may be someone who feels that the parts of life associated with the house Cancer is in are more important than creating your perfect home or home life. © The Dark Pixie Astrology WORKSHEET ● List all of your positions and write down some notes for each position. 4th house sign: 4th house planets: 4th house ruler and house location of the ruler: Moon sign: Moon house location: Aspects my Moon makes: Cancer house: Answer the questions below.
