Why do people live where they live? How does where we live affect how we live? Why and how do people govern themselves as they do? What is the nature of citizenship in a given place or region? TOPIC: World Geography, Cultures, and Governments BIG IDEA: By studying societies both similar to and different from their own, students will be able to compare institutions that the world’s people have in common.
