CASE FINISHING
COURSE DESCRIPTION
For Straight Wire Mechanics
This philosophy requires that you be capable of moving the teeth in three planes to eliminate
crowding. The most limited of the planes is the anterior movement because of facial esthetics and
stability. Because of the limitations of anterior movement, the need to distalize, sometimes as much
as 8 mm per side upper and lower, as well as arch expansion, is necessary to eliminate the need
for extractions. This intensive two day program will cover in depth the seating and activation of
the MDA (Multi-Distalizing Arch), maxillary & mandibular, and the Nitanium Palatal Expander.
There will also be a review and project detailing the final archwire sequencing in conjunction with
auxiliaries to accomplish anterior retraction, final bite opening, posterior labial root torque, and
final intercuspation.
Also, a review of cases currently in treatment utilizing the Carriere self ligating bracket (SLB), the
Twin Force Bite Corrector, the CD Distalizer, Transforce Transverse appliance, and Class II elastics
with posts employed on Pre-Fabricated Utility Arch Wires will be presented.
refundable. Refund policy is 50% of course fee two weeks prior to date of course.
This 2 DAY course is designed for doctors familiar with Straight Wire
treatment, mechanics, and concepts. The focus of the program will
be a hands-on approach to mechanics and techniques necessary to
finish and detail cases.
