Marg in 1986 Soni Hospital was established. Jaipur community appreciated its good services and twenty years later under the guidance and dynamic leadership of Dr. B.R. Soni, we started S.K. Soni hospital, a 30 crore-enterprise providing world-class healthcare to the people of Rajasthan. Soni Hospital was established in 1986 as a 20-bedded nursing home on J.L.N Marg in Jaipur. The institute enjoyed good growth and at within 10 years attained a status of 100-bedded hospital as a unit of Soni Medicare Ltd. This remarkable progress was due to the work of its top-brass consultants, its world-class healthcare facilities and the presence of super-specialty services for quality healthcare. A key factor in the rapid success of this institute was the leadership of Dr. B. R. Soni and the hard work and dedication of its consultants, medical staff and others. Under the guidance on Ex-principals and Ex-HODs of Jaipur’s SMS Medical College created a brand image of quality healthcare in Rajasthan. SK Soni Hospital Constructed in a small span of 15 months and operational from Oct 2004, this hospital is now one the top class healthcare institutes in northern India. SK Soni Hospital is the only private hospital in Jaipur to handle Trauma and Medico-legal cases related to accidents and injuries. Ltd. Message from our Chairman Managing Director When I started Soni Hospital back in 1984, I was apprehensive about making investments into a small plot of land. Jaipur had only two major hospitals — SMS Hospital and SDM Hospital (SDMH) and was peppered with lots of small maternity homes. For a hospital situated in the middle of SMS and SDMH to succeed, especially which was different from traditional nursing homes, was difficult, but we are a success today. Therefore in May 2003, when we began construction of SK Soni Hospital, I was once again apprehensive whether it would be a success. There were many factors against us- like location which was 10 km from JLN Marg, Yet the same factors that were against us-like location, we had no idea who Dr. B. R. SK Soni hospital at present has 225 beds with proposed capacity of 600 beds. Soni Hospital have been merged under into the Soni Group of hospitals, providing superspecialist care more effectively all over Jaipur and Rajasthan. S.K. Soni Hospital, a massive 25 crore investment expansion is underway. In Soni Hospital, another 5 crore expansion has taken place. Equipped with the latest 6th generation CathLab machine and specialist theatres for Neuro-surgery, Joint Replacement & Cardiac surgery, Soni Hospital is a premier institute providing super-specialist services. Soni Hospital has increased in bed-strength from 150 beds to 225 beds in addition to the construction of a new 5-star OPD Block and many equipment and infrastructure upgrades such as an expansion in Trauma-care and Trauma services. Some of the newest addition to our Searoc Cancer Center Dr. Anish Maru, Pioneer in developing and spreading the concept of medical oncology in Rajasthan, has, in partnership with leading cancer specialists and Dr. B.R. Soni, setup Searoc Cancer Center, a premium Oncology treatment center providing services to both Soni Hospital and S.K. Soni Hospital. Searoc is putting up a state-of-art Siemens Linear Accelerator (LinAc) with IMRT, a hefty 9 crore machine available only at 3 places in North-India. Additionally, Searoc will also in collaboration with Univ. of Pittsburgh, provide 12 Medical Oncology specialists each one providing training to local doctors and support to patients over the next year. This center is being built and is functional since Jan, 2007 and will be complete and fully functional from Nov, 2007. Genesis Infertility Center Dr. Anita Gour, MRCOG and Fellow, UK, has, in partnership with Dr. B.R. Soni, setup a state-of-art Genesis Infertility Center in S.K. Soni Hospital. This center is in operation from July, 2007. RG Stone Urology Clinic RG Stone, the famous Indian urology treatment group, is putting up a state-of-art Urology clinic with an investment of 5 crore into this institute. Bringing in the latest technology, this center shall provide all treatments such as PCNL, Lithotripsy etc. They will be functional from Sep, 2007. OK Diagnostic MRI Center In association with OK Diagnostic, Jaipur’s leading Diagnostic Center, S.K. Soni Hospital has the latest Siemens Avanto Series 1.5 Tesla MRI worth 5 crores. This MRI with flow study capabilities enhance the already Number 1 Neurosciences and Trauma services at S.K. Soni Hospital. These are our achievements today: Leaders in ICU Care: We have the highest Critical care Standards and maximum number of ICU beds with lowest infection rates Leaders in Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery: We are the only center in the state which performs Roto-Blator technique Leaders in Neurosciences: With Dr. S. R. Dharkar at our helm, we have the best Neurosurgery unit with 1st Modular Neuro Suite Leaders in Oncology: With our existing infra-structure, daycare ward and Primus Dual Energy Linear Accelerator & HDR Brachytherapy, we have most advanced cancer center in the state Leaders in Nephrology: We are doing over 200 cases a month and have advanced techniques such as CRRT Leaders in Joint Replacement: We have performed the maximum number of Joint replacement surgeries in the state. We did the 1st ACL, the 1st bi-lateral joint replacement & the 1st THR+TKR. Amongst top in Gastroenterology and GI Surgery: We are doing most procedures laproscopically including advanced bariatic surgery for obese patients Experts in Trauma: We are regularly admitting Trauma cases and have a Trauma-care team also. Additionally, we are also accredited with a number of standards organizations such as ISO 9001:2000, CGHS, ECHS. We are also recognized for the treatment of BPL patients, Government employees, Central Government Employees, Railways, Military, Insurance Companies etc. We are providing world-class care and treatment to our patients. Furthermore, at present we are regularly medical education programs and nursing education programs. We are also currently conducting over 30 clinical trials at our institute. We are also in the process of further applying for 4 more Qualification & Diploma Courses for doctors and Nursing Educational Programs. Hence our clinical research and training programs are also up in full swing. We are in regular collaboration with a number of Doctors across the world and have organized several conferences in collaboration with doctors from Mount Sinai Hospital, NY as well as with Univ. of Pittsburgh, USA. These have also enriched our regular patient care programs both in SK Soni Hospital and for other doctors in Rajasthan. Outdoor consulting chambers of all the faculty members are located in the general outdoor wing of S K Soni Hospital on ground floor. All the chambers are well equipped with the modern clinical tools for clinical assessment of routine outdoor patients. Internal Medicine – Services Outdoor Services - regular outdoors on all working days from 9 am to 1 pm. Indoor Services – admitted patients are seen by the consultant during morning and evening rounds Emergency Services – consultants are available round the clock on rotational basis Community camps – regular community camps Internal Medicine – Academics Department of Internal Medicine is actively involved in the regular academic activities of the hospital including monthly in-house CMEs. Under the guidance of the renowned academicians Dr S R Mehta & Dr Dinesh Mathur the department is pursuing to start DNB courses in the hospital. Internal Medicine – Faculty Dr. S.R. Mehta – (Head of Department) Dr S R Mehta has been the Principal, faculty senior professor and head of dept of Medicine of SMS Medical College and is presently heading the department of Internal Medicine at S K Soni Hospital. He is the recipient of prestigious Padam Shri Award. He has been post graduate teacher and examiner for MD (Med) and DNB (Med). He is the only physician in Rajasthan who has been awarded Fellowship of National Academy of Medicine. He has been awarded Dr B C Roy Oration Award in the category of outstanding teachers. Under his kind guidance, the department of Medicine is working with the following faculty members. Dr. (Ms) Dinesh Mathur - Dr Dinesh Mathur, ex head of Dept of Medicine, S M S Medical College, Jaipur is the recipient of prestigious Dr B C Roy Award for development of Nuclear Medicine in the state of Rajasthan. She has been the post graduate teacher and examiner for various exams like MD (Med), DNB (Med) and DNB (Nuclear Med). She has around 200 papers and presentations in various national and international conferences to her credit. Dr Dinesh Mathur has special interest in Thyroid Disorders and Nuclear Medicine.
