The application of research methods to the study of Education. Theory and Research Students investigate various research methodologies and the theories that support them. Year 13 Crime and Deviance Investigating who commits crime and how it might be influenced by factors such as class, age, gender, ethnicity and locality. Sociological theories and methods and their application to the study of crime. Beliefs in Society* Learning about how systems of belief, including those of science and religion affect both the individual and society. Or Global Development* Students are expected to be familiar with sociological explanations of various issues relating to development studies, including global inequality, demographic change, international and cultural relationships and trade and aid.
