Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, physician
assistants, pharmacists, psychologists, radiologists, dentists, registered nurses, nurse
practitioners, nurses-LVN/LPN, med techs, corpsmen, medics/technicians
(EKG/radiologists/labs/pharmacy), dental assistants/hygienists/technicians, and health
administration involved in the care of patients within the military health system.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity:
 Practitioners will be able to demonstrate appropriate and effective team work
skills which can be incorporated readily into clinical practice.
 Participants will be able to identify contributing factors and root causes of errors,
and recommend corrective actions based on their analyses.
 Participants will be able to identify and demonstrate techniques for effective team
communication

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation
requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
(ACCME) through the joint providership of Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and
Defense Health Agency. The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is accredited by the
ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation
The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of
3.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals

Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. PIM maintains
responsibility for this program and its content.

Institute for Medicine is accredited by the International Association for
Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue
the IACET CEU.
