 TOGEOS (2009-2010) – Towards Geological Storage of Carbon Dioxide in the Czech
Republic – Czech-Norwegian research project funded from EEA/Norway Grants. Project
co-ordinator.
 CO2NET EAST (2006-2010) – CO2 Capture and Storage Networking Extension to New
Member States – EU FP6 Co-ordination Action. Project co-ordinator, responsible for
overall project management and coordination of activities, as well as for dissemination
and awareness building activities in the Czech Republic, links to ENeRG and CO2NET
international networks and to the Zero Emission Fossil Fuel Power Plant Technology
Platform.
 Assessment of CO2 Geological Storage Potential in Greece and in the Czech Republic
(2006-2007) – bilateral Czech-Greek cooperation project. Project manager at CGS,
responsible for project management and for elaboration of source-sink scenarios, incl.
economic evaluation.
 European Climate Change Programme II – Working Group III “Carbon Capture and
Geological Storage” (2006). Representative of the Czech Republic (appointed by the

 EU GeoCapacity (2006-2008) - Assessing European Capacity for Geological Storage of
Carbon Dioxide – EU FP6 STREP. Company project manager at CGS, responsible for
project management, for collection of data on CO2 point sources, geological structures
suitable for CO2 storage and their preparation for GIS and Decision Support System SW,
for project website management and for definitions of conflict of interests on selected
sites.
 Geological sequestration of CO2 – potential for storage in geological environment (2005)
– Czech national research project financed by Czech Ministry of Environment. Project
manager at CGS, responsible for project management, for transfer of international
background and know-how, for evaluation of available geophysical data at selected sites
and for assessment of relations between CO2 sources and suitable storage sites.
 CASTOR (2004-2005) – CO2 from Capture to Storage – EU FP6 IP (subcontract). Project
manager at CGS, responsible for project management, for basic overview of geological
structures in the Czech republic potentially suitable for storage of CO2 with respect to the
layout of CO2 sources and for dissemination of results among stakeholders in the Czech
republic.
 Czech national geophysical database (2001-2005) - Czech national research project
financed by Czech Ministry of Environment. Project coordinator at CGS, responsible for
project management, for data registry of DC-resistivity soundings and for promotion of
the database among geological public.
