Planned business meetings, conferences, seminars: (provide title, location, and dates, if possible)
Active contacts are currently on going to organize a Congress of the SC R&W in Lima
(Peru), 2016 or early 2017; other ICOH SCs (e.g. Rural Health, Occupational and
Environmental Dermatoses, Occupational Health and Development) preliminarily declared
an interest to be involved in the co-organization and/or participation: at a more advanced
phase of organization we will contact more formally the officers;
Contacts are also on going to organize special sessions / presentations during the:
- next joint meeting of the European Bioelectromagnetics Association (EBEA) and of the
Bioelectromagnetis Society (BEMS), Ghent, Belgium, 5-10 June 2016
- 9th IWBEEMF (International Workshop of biological effects of electromagnetic fields),
Armenia, 2016
1
-
Congress of the Italian Society of Occupational Medicine and Industrial Hygiene, Rome,
Italy, September 2016
Business meeting will be organized during the Lima Congress and, possibly, also during the
other above-mentioned Congresses/Meetings/WSs
Planned Publications, Guidelines*, Position Papers*, etc.: Provide proposed title, authors,
publication vehicle if possible. *(Guidelines and Position Papers must be approved before
publication by the ICOH Vice President, Secretary General and President.)
Publications on the prevention of adverse health effects/health surveillance of workers exposed
to UV/solar radiation and EMF are under discussion, possibly with the collaboration of other
ICOH SCs (as SCs on Rural Health, Occupational and Environmental Dermatoses)
Means of Communication within Committee: (newsletter-provide name and electronic address),
website, mailing list, email, forum etc.)
Communications with members (and other interested OHS professionals) using e-letters and
web page (http://www.grelf.unimore.it/).
Planned Scientific Contributions to ICOH 2018: (Be specific: oral scientific sessions from
submitted abstracts, specially planned scientific sessions, speakers, abstract reviewers, posters,
business meeting, etc.)
Special Sessions (provisional indicative titles):
- Prevention and well-being promotion in MRI operators
- EMF Occupational exposure and Health Surveillance
- UV/solar radiation occupational exposure and prevention
- Low doses occupational exposure to Ionizing Radiation: health effects and prevention
Oral Session (or Sessions, depending on the number of abstracts received) from submitted
abstracts (provisional list of reviewers: F. Gobba, L. Korpinen)
Poster Session (or Sessions, depending on the number of abstracts received) from submitted
abstracts (provisional list of reviewers: F. Gobba, L. Korpinen)
Furthermore, we are interested in joint sessions with other SCs (including the WG on Young
Workers and Labor Child, as the effect of UV on skin and eye is cumulative, and adequate
preventive measures must be introduced as early as possible in the life); the possibility of joint
sessions will be explored before (and, possibly, during) the next Mid-term Meeting
Business Meeting
Cooperation with other Scientific Committees: (Provide Conference title, dates, meeting
location, collaborating SCs, and role of each SC. Provide relevant details of any other
collaborations with SCs.)

We thank the ICOH Vice President for her support and stimulating assistance, and we presume
that her help will be valuable in the organization of the next activities of the SC on R&W,
