Mapping existing IL tagsets to MSRI tagset
In this exercise we consider several IL tagsets and map them to the MSRI tagset. The following
tagsets are considered




IIIT-H tagset for Indian language – 26 tags
AU-KBC tagset for Tamil – 68 tags
IIT-Kharagpur tagset for Hindi – 43 tags
IIT-Kharagpur tagset for Bangla – 40 tags
Though the IIIT-H tagset is common for Indian languages, we provide examples only from Hindi
mostly taken from the tagset document.
