Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Specializing in Orthodontics for Children & Adults
Neal D. Kravitz, D.M.D., M.S. is a Diplomate of the American
Board of Orthodontics. He is also clinical faculty and research
adviser at the University of Maryland and Washington
Hospital Center. Dr. Kravitz is a dual-Ivy League trained
orthodontist who received his undergraduate degree from
Columbia University and a D.M.D. at the University of
Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (where he
graduated as Valedictorian). Dr. Kravitz completed his
orthodontic training at the prestigious University of
Illinois-Chicago, earning an additional M.S. in Oral
Sciences. A prolific writer, Dr. Kravitz continues to publish
his remarkable cases in numerous journals, including the
AJO-DO, JCO, JADA, Angle Orthodontist, Orthodontist
and Orthodontic Products, among others. He is considered
a leader in the field of orthodontics, currently serving on the
editorial review board for seven refereed professional journals
and the expert advisory panel for Incognito™ lingual braces—
a committee comprised of less than ten orthodontists
world-wide.
Dr. Kravitz lectures throughout the country and internationally
on modern advancements in orthodontics, including earlyinterceptive (Phase I treatment) and invisible braces such as
Invisalign® and Incognito™. He has presented numerous
times at the AAO, dental and orthodontic society meetings
and orthodontic residencies throughout the country, quickly
building a reputation as one of the country’s most dynamic
and sought-after speakers. Dr. Kravitz has been featured in the
local news, the Loudoun Times, Newsweek and Orthodontic
Products. He has been recognized as “Top Orthodontist” in
multiple local and regional magazines. He is an active member
of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American
Lingual Orthodontics Association, the Virginia Dental
Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Association and
the Northern Virginia Orthodontic Study Club, where he
is an annually featured speaker.

AN EMPHASIS ON EDUCATING
Our beautiful and private consultation room is where Dr. Kravitz
will review your treatment plan at length. Our consultations are
always 100% complimentary. We take great pride in our ability
to teach and to answer questions. The two adjoining
consultation rooms connect to transform into an in-office
classroom where doctors come from all over the country for
continuing education courses taught by Dr. Kravitz.
FIVE ELEGANT BRUSHING STATIONS
At Kravitz Orthodontics, we take great pride in creating
healthy and beautiful smiles. Throughout our office are five
individual brushing stations where Dr. Kravitz and his team
will review proper brushing instructions at each visit. Each new
patient will also receive a home and travel brushing kit with all
the essentials.
STATE OF THE ART OFFICE
The unique open bay of our South Riding office has received
nationwide praise. Its design reflects many of the ideals upon
which our practice is based. Our open treatment bay provides
maximum visibility so you may watch your child at all times
or come into the bay and speak directly with the doctor or
technician about the procedures being performed. Adjacent to
the treatment bay are two private rooms for our adult patients
and those who prefer a quieter atmosphere.

PREADOLESCENT TREATMENT (PHASE I INTERCEPTIVE)
Even though most people think of pre-teens and teens when
they think of orthodontics, there are good reasons your
child should get an orthodontic evaluation much sooner.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends
a checkup with an orthodontist no later than age 7.
Early treatment may give your orthodontist the chance to:

• Lower the risk of trauma to protruded teeth
• Correct harmful habits or crossbites

Invisalign and Invisalign Teen are an invisible, removable
orthodontic therapy using clear polyurethane aligners. Dr.
Kravitz is recognized as an Elite Preferred Provider of Invisalign
and Invisalign Teen. No orthodontist in South Riding and Aldie
has treated more Invisalign patients. Dr. Kravitz also has written
numerous publications on the Invisalign technique which have
received international recognition.
Incognito lingual braces are invisible, computer-designed
and custom-made braces that are placed behind your teeth. Dr.
Kravitz is recognized as a Center of Excellence Provider for
Incognito, reaching the level of a master lingual clinician. Dr.
Kravitz lectures international on the lingual technique and
serves on the Incognito Clinical Advisory Board which consists
of less than 10 orthodontists worldwide. Dr. Kravitz treats more
lingual patients per year than any orthodontist in the
Metropolitan area.
