CURRENT AND PAST PROFESSIONAL AND RESEARCH EXPERIENCES
1- Advanced Researcher in Clinical, Biomedical, and Allied Health Sciences: Qualitative and
Quantitative Behavioral Research and clinical evidence Analyst: Clinical research on behavioral
intervention including for individuals and families who are impacted with autism and neurological
related developmental delays. My responsibilities primarily focused on qualitative and quantitative
data analysis and interpretations on the basis of data gathered from clients who are clinically
diagnosed with pervasive developmental disorders including autistic spectrum and Asperger’s
syndrome.
2- Doctoral Dissertation Mentor (chair and committee member): I teach doctoral dissertation
courses including: DOC/722, DOC/733, DOC/733A, DOC/733B, DOC/734, DOC/734A, and
DOC/734B.
These course works include comprehensive training and guiding the doctoral student with:
Dissertation Proposal for Quality Assurance, the Dissertation Project plan, Utilization of various
Procedures and Resources for dissertation thesis writing, the concept of Empirical Social Sciences
Research in accordance to the guidelines and standards of the American Educational Research
Association, The Quality Research Monitoring and the role of the Institutional Research Board.
3- Faculty/Lecturer: Qualitative and Quantitative Clinical Research and Statistics, Behavioral
Psychology, Evidence Based Research and Statistics in Business Administration, and Peer
Reviewed Research in Allied Health Sciences, University of Phoenix, Bay Area, CA, 2013; to present
(Contractual job):
 Psycholmetrics: This course is designed to train and educate students with the basic principles of
tests and measurements in psychology, utilization of several tools of psychological assessments,
and understanding the validity and reliability of various testing tools and test results with
respect to normative values. The course also trains the learner with various tests and
measurements that are specifically developed for cognitive, affective, and functional behaviors.
 Biopsychology, PSY-340: This course is designed to train and educate students with the basic
principles of biological systems, the structure and anatomy of the human brain,
neuropsychological diseases, and human behavior. The course also trains the students in finding
solutions for various neuropsychological and behavioral changes by utilizing case studies that
focus on damages or insults to the central, paraspinal, and peripheral nervous systems.
 Healthcare Research Utilization and Statistics, HCS-465: This course is designed to train and
educate students with the basic principles of peer reviewed scientific research and the underlying
statistical methodologies and experimental designs. Furthermore, students learn the basic
differences between qualitative vs. quantitative and descriptive vs. inferential approaches of
statistical analyses.
 Qualitative and Quantitative Research in Business Administration, RES-351 and QEN-351: These
courses are geared towards educating students in the field of business administration on the

basic principles of scientific research based decision making using the two major schools of
thoughts in research, qualitative (RES-351) and quantitative (QEN-351).
4- Surgical Neurophysiology Real-time Intraoperative neuromonitoring during several surgical
procedures. The technique is primarily geared towards patient safety and quality of surgery so that
surgical manipulations at the levels of the CNS and PNS would have no significant negative effect
on nerves, muscles, and other neural structures. Commonly, evoked or spontaneous potentials
including somatosensory, motor, electromyography, etc. … are obtained to test the integrity of the
neural pathways (both descending and ascending) during any given neurological procedure.
5- Peer Reviewer for Journal of Pharmacology, Chemistry, and Behavior. I have been
contributing as a peer reviewer for this journal for over 3 years now and I got the certificate of
recognition early in 2016.
6- Patient Care: consulting patients with chronic or acute pains that potentially emanate due to
several factors including nutrition, drug and alcohol abuse, peripheral nerve damage, and
paraspinal and spinal root damages
7- Neurodiagnostics (EMG and NCS): Assessed and studied various CNS and paraspinal related
diseases and disorders using some neurodiagnostic tools. My work primarily focused on
assessments of spinal and paraspinal nerve entrapments/damages and studying
neuropathological disorders using state of the art medical devices including Sierawave and
Neuromax.
8- Postdoctoral Research Fellow: University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, TX,
02/2011-06/2011: My postdoctoral research primarily focused on understanding the addictive
properties of drugs that are prescribed for pain medication. This was purely biomedical research on
therapeutic and addictive effects of canabinoids and opioids using animal model of reinforcement
learning and (non-human primates, monkeys).
9- Doctoral Research Fellow: Graduate research associate: University of Texas at San Antonio, San
Antonio, TX, 05/2004-2011: My doctoral biomedical research focused mainly on understanding
brain circuits of the acquisition of reinforcement learning and the addiction of psychostimulants
including METH and Cocaine using several animal models of operant conditioning (refer publications
