PACK IT IN!!!
DIRECTIONS: Design your own pack of cigarettes highlighting the negative aspects of
smoking using the template given. Cut out the pack when completed and hand in
your pack with the written information on a separate paper. Written information
must be done on the computer. The pack will contain 2 or more pictures, a slogan on
your pack and the name your “brand” of cigarettes.
WRITTEN INFORMATION: Students will state and give the meaning of 3 different
illnesses/conditions from smoking. (illnesses discussed in class)
From the 3 illnesses chosen, students will choose one of the illnesses and further
research the following:
-what is the illness?
-treatment: length of treatment, side effects, is it curable??
-long term effects of illness?
Chemicals: Students will be given 3 different chemicals found in cigarettes to
research that start with the same letter as their first and/or last name. Provide the
definition of the chemicals and one other use for those chemicals.
