GENERAL DESCRIPTION ABOUT G.S st Jean Bosco Kamonyi TTC KIRAMBO is a catholic based school located in Northern province, Burera district, Cyeru sector, Butare cell and Butare village. It was founded in 1988 under the contributions of 120 parents. It is now in the hands of FIC Brother (Frere de l’ instruction chretienne). TTC KIRAMBO has four major combinations, such as: science and mathematics education(SME), Languages education(LE), Social studies education(SSE), and early childhood education(ECLPE). TTC KIRAMBO hasseven hundred students(700), (311boys and 389 girls). And all staff and nonstaff are 26, means that there are16 teachers, one matron, two patrons, one discipline master, one bursar, two secretaries, one dean of studies and one principal. TTC KIRAMBO is a good school with different buildings such as classroom, library, TRC room, main hall, smart classroom, dormitories and playground. During the observation period, I have got the opportunities to interact with administrative and teaching staffs and discuss about teaching and learning process. This helped me to acquire more experiences about teaching and learning practices and how to solve different problems I may face during teaching and learning process. Tuesday 18/01/2022 I have studied difference I started my ways of motivating observation day where student I began in s4 BCG how to manage the (biology, classroom chemistry teachers and and geography) In lesson of entrepreneurship In unit called Registering business in Rwanda I learnt about Wednesday On this day, I observed 19/01/2022 in s2 in lesson called the “role of work and methods of social teaching and economic development”. different learning process I learnt about how to introduce or revise students before starting new lesson I learnt how to use black board in appropriate way time management Thursday On this day teaching 20/01/2022 one lesson I developed skills and get abilities to problems solve faced in teaching and learning process. THE CHALLENGES THAT I HAVE MEET WITH AND ITS STRATEGIES USED TO SORTOUT Problems(about students or teaching and Strategies or solutions learning process) 1. there is a limited number of text Through books active teaching and learning strategies, I tried to give meaning summary for better understanding. 2. Poor communication skills among Encourage the learners to make more learners discussion and read more books so as to develop their skills and gain new vocabularies. 3. Inadequate materials used in teaching Use of group discussion in order to be able and learning process. to use and share the copy I have made for them. TEACHING METHODS AND TECHNIQUES USED IN THE SCHOOL Group discussion: the learners make discussion on the given topic and present it to others. Questions and answer: the teacher provides the questions to the learners and learners try to find their answer. Brainstorming: the teacher provides the topic and each learner explain his or her ideas, then after they combine those ideas and relate to the topic. Inquiry approach: where teacher ask questions to the learners in order to get more information about the topic. Role play: student present what they have studied through plays. Outdoor lessons technique: this concerns with the outside lesson where the learners practice what they already learnt. Peer teaching: is technique where student who have understood the content, explain to other. CONCLUSION As conclusion, the observation that took place at TTC KIRAMBO was so highly appreciated and necessary because it helped me to be experienced in discovering the challenges and the strategies that I can use to overcome them so that I can be familiar with my teaching and to complete my school attachment as well as possible in constructive and systematic way.
