ii ABSTRACT Deciding what career to choose for the future is one of the most difficult adversity faced by the students nowadays. There are several factors that a student should consider including their parent’s influence. This study aims to gain information regarding the relation of parental influence on the career choice of 300 Grade 12 respondents from Father Saturino Urios University – Bp. Pueblos Senior High School who were selected randomly. This study aims to answer the following questions: 1.) How does parents influence their child’s career choice? 2.) In what ways can a child cope with their parents’ influence? 3.) Can academic institution help student in what career to pursue? If so, in what way? The researchers tallied and computed the results using T-test from the carefully constructed survey questionnaire with six closed-ended questions of which choices were given with room for further specifications. The results of the study would be of much use to the students, parents, school and to the future researchers. iii Acknowledgement The researchers would like to extend their gratitude to the following people who helped them make this research possible.
