Octenisan
What is Octenisan Body Wash?
Octenisan is a wash lotion for hair and body specially formulated to remove a broad range
of micro organisms including MRSA. Using the body wash as directed may help prevent
you from developing an infection during your stay in hospital, using this wash will not harm
you or your baby.
Octenisan is gentle on the skin, it is soap free, colour free, and perfume free. However, if
your skin does become irritated or broken then stop using it and contact the midwife or
doctor who will advise an alternative product.
How to use Octenisan Body wash
You will need to use this wash for five days before the date you are due to have your
caesarean section.
You will need to use this wash on the morning of your operation.
Use Octenisan body wash every day as a liquid soap for a shower or wash. It is easier to
use in a shower, however, if you are unable to have a shower you can use the lotion for a
daily strip wash.
Do not use this lotion as a bubble bath; you must put the solution directly on to your skin.
