Pairs of Angles (Page 392)
Measure Angles (Page 394)
Angle Measures (Page 404, 408, and 418)
Similar Figures (Page 416)
Transformations (Page 426-428)
Perimeter and Area of Rectangles (Page 450)
Area of a Parallelogram (Page 452)
Area of a Triangle (Page 454)
Vertical: angles across from eachother
(the measures are the same)
Adjacent: share a common side and vertex
Complementary: sum of measures is 90°
(must be sitting side by side)
Supplementary: sum of measures is 180°
(must be sitting side by side)

Add all sums and subtract from total measure
Triangle: 180°
Quadrilateral: 360°
Polygons: Divide into triangles (# of triangles), multiply
times 180° or take the number of sides and subtract
two; then multiply time 180°
5-2 = 3
180 x 3 = 540°
To find one angle measure: take the number above and
divide by the number of sides/angles (this only works
for regular figures where all sides/angles are the same)
540 ÷ 5 = 108°
Set up a proportion and solve, for side lengths
Angles: are always the same

Translation/Slide: move a figure along a line
Rotation/Turn: around a point
Reflection/Flip: over a line
Perimeter: Add the Sides of the figure
Area: Multiply length times width (squared)
Perimeter:
5 + 5 + 3.5 + 3.5 = 17 cm
3.5 cm
Area:
5 x 3.5 = 17.5cm²
