The Arc Alliance Procedure for Screening Employees and Contractors from Participation in Federal Health Care Programs and the Effect of Exclusion on Participation – MA Bulletin 99-11-05 8/15/11 1. All providers who participate in the MA Medical Assistance Program will be screened initially by checking their name against the (1) Pennsylvania Medicheck List http://www.dpw.state.pa.us/publications/medichecksearch/index.htm (2) List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) https://oig.hhs.gov/exclusions/index.asp and (3) Excluded Parties List Systems (EPLS) https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ Any provider who has been excluded from providing service will be terminated. 2. The agency will immediately report the names of any provider excluded from billing MA, to the Bureau of Program Integrity as well as the appropriate administrative office, both program and fiscal. 3. The Administrative Assistant for Children’s Services and/or The Administrative Assistant for Advocacy Services, will run the Medicheck List monthly, on or about the 15th of each month, to make sure none of its providers have been excluded from participating in the federal health care program. (Refer to MA Bulletin 99-11-05 8/15/11). 4. A copy of the initial screenings on providers will be kept with the other required checks, Child Abuse, Criminal History and FBI Clearance. The monthly Medicheck List, List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) and Excluded Parties List Systems (EPLS) of all providers excluded, with copies initially done on all employees will be maintained in a separate file.
