Gran Tierra Energy Inc. is an international oil and gas exploration and production company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In addition, Gran Tierra intends to expeditiously review the optimum path to maximize shareholder value for prior investments in Peru and Brazil. ASSET MANAGER Calgary (Posting Number CA-2016-01) Responsibilities: The Asset Manager will lead and direct a multi-discipline asset team in the planning and execution of field development/redevelopment, as well as production operations, to maximize the value of the asset. Specific responsibilities include: Oversee the integration of disciplines within the team to identify, plan, and support development and exploration drilling opportunities Contribute to value creation through cost control, technical innovation, increased production and improved recovery of reserves Report and maintain reserves Manage prospect evaluation, well proposals, reservoir development studies and field development plans Evaluate potential acquisitions/divestitures Supervise and manage direct reports Ensure appropriate management of technical work carried out by contractors Ensure high standards of quality for all engineering studies. Contribute to the setting of engineering policies, standards and guidelines to ensure consistent quality. Manage the Asset’s budget Perform technical work as required Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a Professional Engineer designation, ideally a member of APEGA 15+ years of related experience in the oil and gas industry Experience in managing a multi-disciplinary team Excellent communication skills with the ability to make recommendations to senior management and work collaboratively in a team oriented environment Strong expertise in the construction and running of reservoir simulation models, together with the incorporation of geological models Demonstrated capability with reservoir engineering interpretation and modelling software Experience in reservoir development studies and field development planning Expertise in well and well test design and operational guidance Previous experience participating in data room evaluations is desirable To be considered for this position, please submit an email with a cover letter and resume to: [email protected].
