Approximately 39 or 36% chose reconstructive surgery – 2012 Total of 521 diagnosed with cancer • Breast Cancer 206 total with 67 or 33% receiving chemo • Lung Cancer 94 total with 54 or 57% receiving chemo – 2013 (data not fully completed) • Breast Cancer 138 with 43 or 31% receiving chemo • Lung Cancer 42 with 21 or 50% receiving chemo • Local businesses for wigs – Beauty Supply Companies – Salons – Wig stores – Approximately 10 locations 8/13/2017 3 Women for Health Funding Impact • Esthetician Services • Skin CareBrands of interest: Lindi and Arga Symptoms: Dry or Itchy skin, brittle nails • Wigs • Head wraps • Hats • Apparel/Accessories 8/13/2017 4 Proposed Funding Budget ($25,000 - $30,000) • Community Care program for qualified women with uninsured or financial needs. • Purchase wig inventory, display shelving, esthetician furnishings, skin care inventory, clothing, hat and scarf inventory. • “Beautiful Transition” events, to assist patients with personal care concerns during and after oncology treatments (guest cosmetologists, estheticians, speakers and samples) 8/13/2017 5 Site tour Please join me for touring The Boutique at Mercy Health after today’s presentation.
