Ir. Joop Broer has incorporated his broad consulting, design and project management expertise in his
consultancy company Aardkracht. As from 2010, Aardkracht provides consultancy services to engineering
and consultancy companies, provinces, municipalities, water boards, contractors, industry and individuals.

Career
After the study as a mining engineer at TU Delft, Joop Broer was several years responsible for development
and maintenance of a coal quality system and technical research related to coal-fired power plants at GKE.
After a period of project management with responsibility for dredging technology projects at MTI, a
position of Business Development Manager for Inspectorate, an inspection, test and consultancy company
a.o. coal, followed. The last 15 years of employment, Joop was at Smals responsible for integral project
development in sand and gravel extraction and also acted for several years as SHEQ manager. Meanwhile
Joop specialized himself as certified Safety engineer (HVK), providing as consultant at Aardkracht services
in the broad field of SHEQ.
