SCHOOL OF HARD ROCK
PROGRAM CONTENT
Hard Rock Cafe Lisboa starts a new teaching project which is
to communicate to all students that our cafe can offer more
than a great meal or our famous merchandising. Hard Rock is
also a museum with many pieces of memorabilia from some of
the greatest musicians and rock stars of the world. All these
pieces are a very important part of our music society and we
want to share it with your students and teach them our history.
Each class, taught in the warm atmosphere of Hard Rock Cafe
Lisboa, is an interactive journey of approximately 2 hours. The
class includes stories, anecdotes about rock stars, music videos,
contests and finally a real rocker menu.
The program is structured in two parts. During the first half of the
class the students will have the opportunity to learn the
fascinating history of Hard Rock International. From
its beginning as a meeting point for rock stars, such as Eric Clapton,
Pete Townshend (The Who), Rolling Stones, The Beatles, etc., until
eventually becoming a music museum with more than 72.000 pieces
of memorabilia demonstrated around the world.
Through our four mottos, LOVE ALL SERVE ALL, ALL IS ONE,
TAKE TIME TO BE KIND, SAVE THE PLANET, displayed in each of
our more than 140 restaurants worldwide; Hard Rock shows young
people the values that have been ever present for more than 40
years. These are the values set by our founders Peter Morton and
Isaac Tigrett which have marked our philanthropic efforts.
School of Hard Rock is a fresh and original
way to teach young people important
issues through a unique experience.
Throughout the second half of the class Hard Rock Cafe offers each group
the opportunity to learn about the history of rock, explaining the evolution
of music over the past 60 years, with artists such as Elvis Presley, Jimi
Hendrix, Queen, Madonna, etc. Also mentioning sociopolitical events that
have influenced the music and have acted as a vehicle for a message,
showing always the ability music has to unite cultures, races and religions.
After the class, we organize group activities with prizes for the winners.
The School Of Hard Rock program for 2016 will be
available from
January-June and September-December 2016
Classes are available Monday through Friday from 10.00h to
12.00h at Hard Rock Cafe Lisboa (on request).
The class ends with a typical American menu featuring a
main course to choose from:
HAMBURGER
CHEESEBURGER
VEGGIE BURGER
CAESAR SALAD
All hamburgers are served with fries.
Includes a drink (Soda, Coffee or Tea)
The menu is the only cost of the class.
