DVTA Board of Directors March 13, 2012 Meeting Minutes DVTA Offices, Route 100, West Dover, VT Present: Linda Anelli, Susie Haughwout, Eithne Eldred, Mark Wallace, Randy Schoonmaker Susie convened the meeting at 5:15 pm. Linda motioned to approve the January 9, 2012 meeting minutes, Eithne seconded, all approved except Mark who abstained. Linda motioned to hold the 2011 DVTA Annual Meeting on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 5:15 pm at the DVTA Offices on Route 100 in West Dover, Vermont. Eithne seconded, all approved. Randy reviewed year to date ridership which is off 13% from last year’s record pace. The MOOver route is up 4% and senior routes are up 26%. The condo and parking lot routes are off 13% and 38% respectively. The Board reviewed YTD financials which show the company is $24,885 ahead of budget thus far. The book distribution plan was reviewed and the discussion ensued as to whether to consign books or have them paid in advance. Mark motioned to publish 166 copies of the book to be distributed so that 100 copies will go to Bartleby’s Bookstore at $25 per copy, Linda seconded, all approved. Randy told the Board that the second phase of planning, the Design Development phase, is virtually finished and that the project is 60% final designed. He walked the Board through the revised site plan. He discussed the project’s “creep” in cost due to many factors and showed the Board possible areas to reduce the cost of the project. Mark motioned to budget the project’s construction at $4,000,000, Eithne seconded, all approved. Randy asked the Board to approve a May 1, 2012 opening date of the new Bennington route. Eithne motioned to start Bennington service on May 1, 2012, Linda seconded, all approved. Linda requested that the DVTA have a bus in the Strolling of the Heifers, Wilmington Memorial Day and Blueberry Festival parades. Eithne motioned to adjourn, Linda seconded, all approved.
