General Position Overview:
The Marketing Representative is responsible for assisting in the
implementation of a semester marketing plan concentrating on the following
objectives:
♦ Conducting Market Research and Analysis
♦ Competitive Analysis
♦ Right Pricing Tool
♦ Food Service Committees
♦ Customer Satisfaction Surveys (each semester)
♦ Any additional consumer surveys
♦ Being a liaison between customers and management, relaying
information of various regarding services and opportunities to the
appropriate management team.
♦ Dining Hall/ Retail Dining Promotion Planning and Tracking
♦ Events need to occur with dates listed on Campus Services

♦ Serves as a liaison between Ithaca College Sustainable student
groups and Dining Services
♦ Creates promotions for sustainable events
♦ Facilitates publicity for sustainable practices
♦ Researches sustainable practices
♦ Oversees the execution of sustainable events and activities
Student Promotion Coordinator
♦ Plans, creates, and executes all residential events
♦ Guides the implementation of the resulting promotional
campaign
♦ Creates event press releases and follow ups
♦ Orders supplies and giveaways for all residential events
♦ Interacts with clientele and students
♦ Takes photographs during event for event follow ups
Graphic Design & Web Maintenance
♦ Maintaining and updating the Ithaca College Dining Services
website on a day to day basis
♦ Creates all residential event posters and recaps
♦ Assists in the production of the Semester in Review
♦ Must be proficient in: Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Adobe Suite, &
Illustrator

INTERPERSONAL & WRITING SKILLS
Works well with management team to accomplish marketing goals and
enthusiastic communication of ideas, goals, and skills. Writing skills should be
at a collegiate level. Press releases, event follow ups, and semester in review
require effective writing.

learn; is accountable for performances and employees; consistent followthrough with constructive comments to employees, managers, and peers.
