HOW TO CHOOSE A RESTAURANT ?
RESTAURANT
A Restaurant is a place where a wide range of food and Beverages are served / offered to the guests.
This is the place where the guest can order their food according to their taste and the guest can also
request the chef to prepare the food according to their taste where the payment will be made
accordingly.
Now-a-days, there are more Restaurants operate with various cuisine, various theme and with
different price range. This change in the food market makes the people more difficult to choose a
particular restaurant which can satisfy their needs at the end of the meal.
In this article let us see the various aspects to be kept in mind while choosing a restaurant to
dine. The different segments are,

Price

Atmosphere

Quality

Portion size

Consistency

Location

Food & Beverages

Employees
PRICE
Price is a very important segment for the people to choose a restaurant to dine which is based
on their budget. Many restaurants offer food and beverages with different price range which is a tool to
directly attract the market. Now-a-days, restaurants offer free bees which is again a advantage for the
people as value for money and also profit making concept to the organization.
ATMOSPHERE
Atmosphere is a strong reason to pull the people to restaurants. Atmosphere is created by
music, low noise levels, types of customers (customers behavior in the restaurant), clean environment,
neatness and hygiene standards of the restaurant.
QUALITY
Food lovers choose their restaurants based on the quality of the food served. This has to be
taken in consideration that the food served should be in a high quality and prepared with proper
hygiene standards. To offer a quality food, one does not require running an expensive restaurant. Even
low budgeted restaurants can also offer quality foods at reasonable price.
PROTION SIZE
Portion size attracts different segments of people with big appetites and low budgets. Normally
college students would go to any place that gives them a high quantity of food with very least price. The
people who pay for the food should be served a good quantity of food.
CONSISTENCY
Consistency plays a vital role in restaurant operation. People who choose a restaurant to dine
for the second time is probably impressed with the food and service offered. Thus the restaurant should
maintain the same consistency level to bring back the customers the next time. If the restaurant fails to
maintain the consistency, then the customer would choose a different restaurant which is a loss for the
organization

LOCATION
Location is a very strong reason to attract customers. People choose restaurant in good location
because it makes them easier to dine in this busy schedule. People choose restaurant which has a safety
parking area. Working people choose a place which is walkable form the work place. Many choose the
restaurant which is located in busy streets where the foot fall is high.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
A wide variety of food and beverages should be offered to the people to get more footfalls in
the restaurant. The food and beverage offered to the people should be chosen from various cuisines.
The menu available in the restaurant should be favorable to every customer.
EMPLOYEES
The people who dine should choose the restaurants carefully based on the employee standards.
Because the employees are the one who can make your worst day into a good day and good day into a
worst day. So it is highly recommended to the customers to choose restaurants where the employees
are of good conduct, neatly dressed, well groomed, person with knowledge, etc…
