2011 Annual Update in Rheumatology
The rubric of ‘rheumatic diseases’ includes a diverse
range of diseases and conditions. This year we are
focusing on this diversity – from Gout to Lupus and from
Fibromyalgia to Sjogren’s. We will review best practices,
evidence-based treatments and assessment methods in
order to increase your knowledge and skills. Physicians,
nurse practitioners, and allied health care professionals
will all find this Update Day an effective and efficient way
to brush up on their rheumatology skills.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Improve assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills for
various rheumatological conditions, including Lupus, Gout,
Spondylathropathies, Osteoarthritis, Scleroderma,
Fibromyalgia and Sjogren’s Syndrome

4. Understand when treatment for Inflammatory Arthritis should
