Frequently Asked Questions
All Memorial facilities, including Healthy You, adhere to HIPAA privacy laws. Your health information is
kept entirely confidential.
Can my spouse or children be treated at Healthy You? At this time, we are only providing services to
Memorial and MP employees.
Do you take walk-ins? We will make every effort to accommodate walk-ins but request that you
schedule or call for an appointment if at all possible. Due to time constraints, we may not be able to
accommodate every walk-in request.
What hours are available for me to schedule an appointment at HealthyYou? We have appointments
available between 12:30 and 4:15 Monday-Friday, with the goal of increasing our availability in the
future. If you wish to schedule on-line but do not see any available appointment s for the day, please
call HealthyYou at 573-3939 as we may be able to accommodate your request. You may schedule an
appointment up to 48 hours in advance.
What sort of illnesses or injuries can I be seen for? Examples of some of the common things we treat at
HealthyYou include strains/sprains, joint pain, lacerations, asthma, rashes, urinary tract infections, and
strep throat/upper respiratory illnesses. Because we do not want to replace the care of your regular
physician, we do not provide routine physical exams. If you are unsure if your injury/illness is suitable
for HealthyYou, please contact Kay or Amy at 573-3939.
Doesn’t my injury/illness need to be work-related? No. We are available for non-work-related injuries
and illnesses as well as evaluation of many work-related injuries.
What services may I be billed for? There is never a physician or facility fee to be seen at HealthyYou. If
lab work, diagnostic imaging (x-ray), or specialized splints are needed for your care, you may be billed
for any costs not covered by your insurance for those services. If you are referred for physical therapy,
the cost of physical therapy is not covered by HealthyYou.
Do I have to be on the hospital insurance or work full-time to be seen? No. Any active employee of
Memorial and its Family of Services (i.e. Valley Imaging, MP, Cornerstone, etc.) may be seen at
HealthyYou. There are no minimum hour worked or benefit requirements as long as you are an active
employee.
What happened to Employee Health and how is HealthyYou different? Kay Wheeler and Amy Steingas
are nurses for Employee Health and HealthyYou. Employee Health is now based within the HealthyYou
clinic and will continue to offer the same services as before (i.e. immunizations, pre-employment
screenings, and injury management coordination). Hours for Employee Health are 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.
HealthyYou has a physician available for appointments during the afternoon hours between 12:30 and
4:15.
My regular doctor wants me to do labwork. Can I come have it done there? The goal of the
HealthyYou clinic is not to replace the regular care of your primary physician. If you receive lab orders
from your primary care doctor, that labwork needs to be completed according to your regular insurance
process.
Do I have to come to HealthyYou for treatment? No. In the interest of your health and safety,
managers or supervisors may recommend an appointment at HealthyYou but cannot require you to
attend. HealthyYou is not intended to replace the care received under your primary care physician.
Since Employee Health is housed within HealthyYou, employees who need to establish work-related
injury claims or need to complete employment services such as TB testing or immunizations may be
required to go to HealthyYou to see the Employee Health nurses for these services.
Can I schedule an appointment on the website for my Employee Health needs (TB testing, flu shots,
etc.)? No the on-line scheduling is only for employees needing to see a physician. If you need to meet
your employment requirements such as TB skin testing, opening a work-related injury claim, or
immunizations, please call Employee Health at 574-5830 or email [email protected] or
[email protected] to arrange a time to come in.
