The advanced blood test that helps you
and your doctor better understand your
rheumatoid arthritis (RA) disease activity
with a single score

What is Vectra® DA?
The more you and your doctor know
about your RA, the better you can
manage it
• Vectra DA is an advanced blood test for adults
with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It helps you and
your doctor better understand your RA disease
activity
• Vectra DA gives a more complete look at your
RA disease activity by measuring 12 markers
of RA disease activity. Some other tests, such
as C-reactive protein (CRP) and erythrocyte
sedimentation rate (ESR or “sed rate”), only
measure one marker
• Vectra DA scores can help track your disease
activity over time with an objective measure
that complements your doctor’s exam and your
own assessment
How does Vectra® DA measure my
RA disease activity?
• Vectra DA detects what’s going on
below the surface by assessing
multiple biological pathways that
drive RA disease. Vectra DA
provides information about RA that
goes beyond physical symptoms
• Vectra DA measures the levels of
12 markers in your blood, called
“biomarkers,” that have been linked
to RA inflammation
• The 12 biomarkers are combined
into a single score between 1 and
100 that indicates your current level
of RA disease activity
• The single score generated by Vectra DA
classifies RA into low, moderate, and high
disease activity – the lower the score, the better
• Vectra DA may help identify your risk of future
joint damage
• Medicare fully covers Vectra DA with no
copayment* or deductible. Crescendo
Bioscience’s goal is to ensure that cost is
not a barrier for anyone with RA who wants
a Vectra DA test – call 1-877-RHEUMDX

How is my Vectra® DA
score reported?
What makes Vectra® DA different
from other assessments?
• Your doctor receives a test report with a number
between 1 and 100 that represents your Vectra
DA score
• In the past, your doctor may have used tests such
as CRP or ESR to assess your RA disease activity.
These measures only look at a single marker of
inflammation
• Vectra DA can be used to measure the level of
RA disease activity at a specific point in time
• Tracking your Vectra DA scores over time can
complement you and your doctor’s assessments
of how your RA is responding to treatment

Clinical Experience: Vectra DA was validated in adults with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), 230 who previously tested positive for
rheumatoid factor (RF) and/or antibodies to cyclic citrullinated peptides (anti-CCP) and 141 who tested negative for both RF and
anti-CCP. The performance of the test may differ between these two populations. The disease activity thresholds shown reflect the
Vectra DA score equivalent to DAS28CRP cut-offs of 2.67 (low to moderate) and 4.09 (moderate to high), respectively (Inoue et al.
Ann Rheum Dis 2007;66: 407-409), and were calculated by converting the DAS28 scale (0 - 9.4) to the Vectra DA scale (1 - 100).
Test Description: Vectra DA measures the concentrations of 12 serum proteins. An algorithm is applied to these concentrations to

• Patients with high Vectra DA scores have been
shown to be at a higher risk for joint damage than
patients with low or moderate Vectra DA scores
• Vectra DA scores have identified patients with a

Step 5: Your doctor can share results from
the Vectra DA test with you, helping you both
assess your RA disease activity
How often should I get
Vectra® DA?
• How often you get Vectra DA depends on your
unique situation. You and your doctor should
decide this together
• An initial Vectra DA score can be taken at any
point following your diagnosis with RA. This
initial test serves as your “baseline” score. Future
scores can then be compared to determine any
change in your RA disease activity
• Many doctors and patients assess disease
activity with Vectra DA to obtain a baseline
before making a change in treatment. Then a few
months afterwards they can use Vectra DA again
to measure the impact that changing treatment
had on your disease activity
• Your doctor may ask you to have your blood
drawn for the test a couple of weeks before your
visit so you can discuss the results together
• Crescendo Bioscience’s goal is to ensure that cost
is not a barrier for anyone with RA who wants a
Vectra DA test. To learn about financial assistance,
please see pages 8 and 9 of this brochure or call
1-877-RHEUMDX (1-877-743-8639) from 6 AM to
5 PM PST, Monday through Friday
If you have an infection, such as the flu, or have had a recent
vaccination, please let your doctor know before having blood
drawn for your Vectra DA score.

Talk to your doctor about
Vectra® DA
• Like most other lab tests, Vectra DA must be
ordered by your doctor. Review the steps below
to help prepare for a discussion with your doctor
• Talk with your doctor about how objectively
measuring RA disease activity with Vectra
DA can help in the management of your RA
– If you would like more information about
Vectra DA or are concerned about
paying for the Vectra DA test, please call
1-877-RHEUMDX (1-877-743-8639)
to find out what financial assistance is
available to you
How else can I track my RA?
•MyRA® is a FREE mobile app that you can use
to track the symptoms of your RA between
visits with your doctor. You can easily share the
information with your doctor.
With MyRA, you can:
• Track your joint pain, morning stiffness, and
fatigue
• Record your daily functioning
• Generate a visual summary of your data over time
• Communicate with your doctor about your RA
– Your insurance company cannot tell
you how much you will owe for the test,
because they do not know whether you
qualify for financial assistance
