403(b) Universal Availability Notice
Employees of South San Antonio ISD have the opportunity to save for retirement on a tax
deferral basis by participating in the District’s 403(b) plan. The plan is administered by
National Plan Administrators (NPA).
To locate information regarding the District’s 403(b) plan, logon to the National Plan
Administrators website at www.natlplan.com. Once at the homepage of NPA website, you will
select the “For Employees” link in the bottom right portion of the webpage.
Once the next screen has loaded you will select the link “Select Your State and Employer”
under Retirement Plan Services. Once the next screen has loaded you will select “TX” under
the TSA employer plans for employees then select “South San Antonio ISD”
Once you have selected your employer you will be brought to your employer’s specific
403(b) page where all plan forms, instructions and general 403(b) information can be
obtained for your convenience. Please locate the link “403(b) Employee Handbook” for
comprehensive instructions and details of the plan.
Once you have selected the South San Antonio ISD 403(b) specific plan documents you can
review the Approved 403(b) Providers list and contact the investment provider you would like
to make contributions to. The investment provider will assist you in filling out an application
and setting up an account. Only after the account is established can you then complete a
Salary Reduction Agreement and submit it to NPA.
Employees may contribute up to $18,000 in 2015 - 2017 and is subject to change annually. If
you have at least 15 years of service with your employer or you are at least 50 years old, you
may also be able to make additional catch-up contributions.
