The University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna offers a full time position for a Technical assistant in animal behavior research (unlimited duration) at the Konrad Lorenz Institute of Ethology, Department of Integrative Biology and Evolution. Experience in ecological field work and with fish and birds are especially desirable. Duties: The position entails assisting a scientist in conducting research by performing various tasks. Duties may include data collection and collation, assisting in the setting up and performing of experiments, recording behavioral data from videos, statistical data analyses, producing presentation slides and figures for scientific articles plus the potential opportunity to learn and perform tasks in a genetics lab to address additional questions about animal behavior.
