MA and MS program require 36 hours. Ph.D. courses requires the same courses as the MA plus additional ones listed as well as those determined by the program committee. Total of 90 hours minimum required for Ph.D., of those 45 must be taken during and after the semester in which the program of study is submitted. General Psychology Courses PSYC 9440 Social Psychology (Required) One of the following (Required): PSYC 9230 Neuroscience, PSYC 9070 Cognition, PSYC 9210 Sensation and Perception, PSYC 9040 Learning Psyc 8000 Statistics and Methods Courses PSYC 9010 Stat I: Correlation and Regression (required) PSYC 9020 Stat II: ANOVA (required) PSYC 9090 Psychometric Theory (required) PSYC 9650 Research Methods (Required for MA) PSYC 9120 Multivariate Statistics (Required for Ph.D) PSYC 9320 Program Evaluation Required I/O Courses PSYC 9660 Performance Appraisal and Criterion Development (Required for MA/MS) PSYC 9670 Personnel Selection (Required for MA/MS) Core I/O Courses (MS-2 required, MA-1 required, Ph.D- All 4 required) Courses are offered once every 2 years, one in each semester PSYC 9620 Training PSYC 9630 Leadership Theories and Research PSYC 9640 Problem Solving and Decision Making PSYC 9610 Motivation Topical Seminar Courses listed as: PSYC 9030 Seminar Topics in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (topics change) 2 Required for Ph.D. Practicum PSYC 8950 Practicum for Master’s Students (3 hours required for MS) PSYC 9950 Practicum for Doctoral Students (6 hours required for Ph.D.)- Must be completed AFTER completion of MA thesis. Research other than Thesis PSYC 9960-6 Hours required for Ph.D. Students Thesis PSYC 8990-6 hours required for MA students Dissertation PSYC 9990-12-24 hours can be taken for Ph.D. Electives Any course that is not required can serve as an elective. The course must be approved by chair of Master’s committee and/or Ph.D. committee. It is recommended that one course will be taken outside the psychology department.
