How to not live a
Meaningless Life
Philippians 3:7-8
Philippians 3:7-8
But whatever was to my profit I now
consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8
What is more, I consider everything a loss
compared to the surpassing greatness of
knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose
sake I have lost all things. I consider them
rubbish, that I may gain Christ
Philippians 3:7-8
1.
Knowing Jesus Christ intimately is more
valuable than anything else.
2.
Knowing Jesus Christ is equivalent to
having Him.
3.
Having Christ only comes by losing
everything else

2 Corinthians 4:6
[God], who said, "Let light shine out of
darkness," made his light shine in our
hearts to give us the light of the
knowledge of the glory of God in the
face of Christ.
Counting all as loss

Without Christ, we believe things are
significant in themselves – that there
is some inherent value in them.

Without Christ, the value of life is
determined by the qualities we
possess.
Colossians 1:15-18
He is the image of the invisible God, the
firstborn of all creation. For by him all
things were created, in heaven and on
earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones
or dominions or rulers or authorities--all
things were created through him and for
him. And he is before all things, and in him
all things hold together. And he is the head
of the body, the church. He is the beginning,
the firstborn from the dead, that in
everything he might be preeminent.
