High Performance Player Support Policy
Purpose: To assist players with nationally recognised talents to further their squash playing
endeavours by financially assisting them to attend national squad training sessions and
competitions.
Background: Squash New Zealand has a number of national high performance squads for
junior and senior players. Squash Northland encourages all levels of participation in the game of
squash but recognises that there can be hefty financial costs for those who excel and are driven
to compete at high performance levels. On the basis that the selection in SNZ high performance
squads is a considerable achievement, and is matched by an increased commitment by the
players (and their families), Squash Northland provides an annual contribution to players
achieving (and committing to) national squad selection.
