JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Salary: Hours: Reporting to: Project Coordinator, Greater Manchester Minds £26,822 35 hours per week Fixed -term project for 12 months from start of employment Manchester Mind Service Director and Greater Manchester Minds Steering Group Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities To work with Local Mind Associations in Greater Manchester in developing a strong and effective Greater Manchester Minds Partnership working and delivering together across the GM footprint. Developing a strategy for the future of the partnership, building connections with mental health commissioners across Greater Manchester, supporting the development of joint work and assistance with funding. Main Duties Map out LMA services across Greater Manchester. Organise and facilitate regular steering group meetings. Ensure communication across the partnership is effective and clear for staff and Trustees. Support the partners to identify appropriate partnership models. Develop memorandum of understanding between the GM Local Minds, which will guide current and future working relationships. Develop a short/medium/longer term strategy for the partnership to work towards. Identify and build links with local and GM-wide strategic boards & key people and commissioners to promote LMA and GM Mind Services. Attend networking and cross GM events as appropriate. Provide written reports for the steering group and for each local Mind Board of Trustees as required. Organise events to bring together Trustees and staff of Local Mind Associations. Develop good working relationships with each Local Mind. Promote GM brochure and develop marketing and communication materials when required. Proactively identify and support opportunities to develop projects across the GM footprint. Horizon-scan for opportunities across Greater Manchester. Develop legacy plan. Lead on developing a dissemination of the learning from the partnership across the Local Mind Association Network. General Responsibilities To maintain as professional and confidential approach to work at all times. To actively participate in regular supervision sessions, and team meetings as requested. To be willing to attend appropriate training courses as agreed with your manager. To have awareness and compliance to (Manchester Mind) policies and procedures, including Health and Safety. To create positive relationships and to treat all staff, volunteers and members of the public with dignity and respect, adhering to partnerships core aims and values, and adhering to equal opportunities and diversity statements and policies. To work outside of normal office hours if required to do so to meet the needs of the service. To carry out other duties as requested by the Steering Group. This job description may be subject to joint review from time to time between the postholder and Manchester Mind, and as such is liable to amendment. PERSON SPECIFICATION ALL ESSENTIAL UNLESS STATED Knowledge and Experience Experience of developing partnerships particularly in voluntary sector. Experience of managing complex partnership projects. Experience of working at a strategic level. Experience of networking with Health and Social Care Commissioners. Experience of developing strategic plans. Experience of initiating and supporting new projects/business. Experience of applying for funding. Knowledge of the impact of poor mental health on individuals and communities. Knowledge of the devolution agenda. (DESIRABLE) Knowledge of the Mind network. (DESIRABLE) Knowledge of the geographical area of Greater Manchester.
