WRAP®
Wellness Recovery Action Plan – delivered by MindWise
WRAP is a simple and systematic approach to assist people to recover and/or
maintain mental wellness. It aims to decrease and prevent intrusive or troubling
feelings and behaviours, increase personal empowerment, improving quality of
life and supporting people in achieving their own life goals and dreams.
Workshop overview
WRAP is a structured system to monitor uncomfortable and distressing feelings
and behaviours and through planned responses, reducing, modifying or
eliminating them and helps you to learn how to develop and identify:
 Wellness Toolbox
 Daily Maintenance Plan
 Triggers and Action Plan
 Early Warning Signs and Action Plan
 When Things Are Breaking Down and Action Plan
 Crisis Planning
 Post-Crisis Planning
Who could create a WRAP plan?
 WRAP is for everybody!
 People in recovery.
 Students, Young People, Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents
 Employers, employees
 Can be used to support anybody’s day to day living
 People living with anything from deep sadness, arthritis, hearing voices,
diabetes to “burn out”.
 Anyone who wants to create positive changes in the way they feel, or
increase their enjoyment of life.
WRAP Embraces the 5 key Recovery concepts:
 Hope
 Personal Responsibility
 Education
 Self-Advocacy
 Support
Format of workshops
Through facilitated sessions and group discussion you will develop your own
WRAP. It will also allow you to facilitate a WRAP one-to-one with others. WRAP
is a 2-day workshop and will be delivered on:
13th & 20th JUNE 2016 at MindWise Head office
9.30am – 4.30pm (Lunch provided)
