To be eligible for governmentsubsidised training as an apprentice
you must:
have found an employer who will
take you on as an apprentice
This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.
Sydney TAFE is approved to offer training for apprentices in the
courses listed in the table below.
The student fee is set by the government and covers the full
qualification for as long as it takes you to complete your training.
Exemptions from paying the student fee and concession fees are
available for eligible students – see Fees and Charges on the Sydney
TAFE website http://sydneytafe.edu.au/courses/fees-and-charges.

live or work in NSW
no longer be at school
be an Australian citizen,
or permanent resident, or
humanitarian visa holder, or New
Zealand citizen.
NOTE: The courses in the list below may also be available to students
who are not employed as apprentices. A different fee schedule will
