Live Your Calling: What On Earth Am I Here For – Part 2
To understand your life’s purpose & calling- must begin w God’s nature
Because God created you - it all starts with God.
- God is love – it is his nature, essence
- Everything was created as an object of his love!
- The only reason there is love in the Universe
- Ants & Snails dont love... In God;s Image
EPH. 1:4-5 “Long ago, even before he made the world, God
loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault
in his eyes. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt
us into his own family by bringing us to himself through
Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure.” (NLT)
- You were Planned for God’s pleasure!
- The reason you’re alive: God wanted to love you!

o The first purpose of my life is TO BE LOVED BY GOD!
- NOT to serve him... obey... trust...do something for him...
It’s to LET GOD LOVE YOU!
Let this sink in: FIRST DUTY IS NOT to DO ANYTHNG
(learn, listen, pray, give), just be loved by GOD
The 2nd to last book in Bible: JUDE (Not embarrassed)

JUDE 1:1 “This letter is from Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ
and a brother of James. I am writing to all who are
CALLED TO LIVE IN THE LOVE OF GOD the Father and in the
CARE of Jesus Christ.“ could have been ultimate name dropper!

o My first calling is TO ENJOY A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD!
It’s not about a role... responsibility ...rule .. regulation.... ritual!
What kind of relationship? Does God want you to be HIS..
Worker? No! Citizen? Slave? Servant? Soldier?
ROM. 1:7 “Dear friends in Rome. God loves you dearly, and
The most amazing truth! Creator of the universe
God wanted a family to love. He wants you in it!
1 JN 3:1 “What an incredible quality of love the Father has
shown to us, that we should be NAMED AND CALLED AND
COUNTED The children of God! And so we are!” (Amp)
THIS IS your #1 calling in life! A Son or Daughter!
WHY would God do this? To express his love!
God’s love is extravagant, lavish, beyond comprehension
o He loves you on Bad Days / Good Days
o Will never love you any more/less than right now!
EPH. 3:17-19 “I pray that Christ will be more and more at
home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go
down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love. And may
you have the power to understand, as all God's people
should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his
love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though
it is so great you will never fully understand it.” NLT)
o How wide? WIDE enough to be everywhere!
- There’s no place you can be where God isn’t!
- You may FEEL alone- but you never will BE alone!
o How long? LONG enough to last forever!
- Human love wear out, but God will never stop loving you.
o How deep? DEEP enough to handle anything!
- No matter what pain or hurt or problem... “Pit of hell.”
Hit bottom? God’s lioe is deeper !ith you!
o How high? HIGH enough to overlook my mistakes!
Regardless- God offers to forgive you & help you start over!
God wanted u here- so He could say to u: I LOVE YOU!
Q: How would your life change IF you FELT completely
and unconditionally loved by God every moment?
Before I answer that Q I want us to thank God for his love

o That relationship God created you for is to be
HiS SON or DAUGHTER!
WHAT CHANGES IF I STAY CONTINUALLY AWARE
OF GOD’S CONSTANT LOVE FOR ME?
1. I FEEL ACCEPTED RATHER THAN ASHAMED
Most people avoid God because - feel ashamed, guilty, judged
ROM. 5:1 (CEV) “By faith we have been made acceptable to
God. And now, because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we live at
peace with God.”
o This sets you free from approval addictionalways worried about being accepted by others
o Criticism doesnt bother you if the Creator of U says...OK!
I’ll never forget- watching my dad jump out scoop up baby sister
rushed to hospital Petrified w fear.. MY FATHER will handle this
Your Human father can’t do everything but Heavenly can!
God has unlimited power & unlimited love.
God’s love doesn’t exempt you from pain & dumb decisions
BUT WE DO HAVE THIS PROMISE...
ROM. 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for
the good of those who love him, who have been called
according to his purpose.”
ROM. 8:33-34 “If God says his chosen ones are acceptable
to him, can anyone bring charges against them? Or can
anyone condemn them? No indeed!”
Fact: Dont need other’s approval to be happy!
2. I’M BOLD IN BRINGING MY NEEDS TO GOD
LINCOLN- impressed by how he gave his young son complete
access - Tad could barge in anytime... HE’D WELCOME HIM!
ROM. 8:14-15,17 “All who are led by the Spirit of God are

Talking about prayer...
HEB. 4:16 “Let us then approach the throne of grace with
confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to
help us in our time of need.” (NIV) BE BOLD!
Jesus: “You can ask for ANYTHING in my name”
1 JN 4:18 “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives

SO how do I become a son of God? Daughter...

Jesus gave the right to become children of God. (NLT)
THIS IS YOUR MOMENT; LET’S TALK TO GOD (Bow)
PRAY
Dear God, I am amazed at how much you love me. Thank you
that your love for me is wide enough to be everywhere I go,
Thank you that your love for me is long enough to last forever.
Thank you that your love for me is deep enough to handle all my
problems and high enough to overlook my sins because of
Jesus...

5. I WORSHIP INSTEAD OF WORRY!
Worship is expressing my love to God (always a response)
We love him God. God takes the initiative:
1 JN 4:19 (Screen) “We love because God first loved us,
o Your problem isnt that you don’t love God enough. It’s that...
o What’s warning sign you’ve forgotten how much God loves u?
WORRY! practical atheism
MT. 6:33-34 “So don't worry about having enough food or
drink or clothing. He WILL GIVE YOU ALL YOU NEED from
day to day IF you live for him and make the Kingdom of God
your primary concern. So don't worry about tomorrow, for
tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is
enough for today.’
o This promise is WHY we’re doing LIVE YOUR CALLING.
