Changes to internal structures in Enforcement of Judgments Office
With effect from 12 September 2016 the EJO will be restructured as follows:

Case Acceptance Team
The Case Acceptance Team will deal with the initial paperwork required to register a
Notice of Intention (NOI), an Application to Enforce a Judgment, or apply to stay
enforcement of a money judgment.
EJO Accounts Team
The EJO Accounts Team is responsiblefor the receipt and allocation of payments
towards debts as well as the receipt of fees for EJO services.
Listing Team (LT)
The LT will provide direct support for the function of the role of Nominated Officers
who conduct debtor examinations. The LT will be responsible for the issuing of all
notices of hearings before nominated officers, including:
 Summonses to appear for examination;
 Conditional orders for issue of warrant of arrest/Attendance Orders, and;
 Witness summonses
The LT will be responsible for all post examination work including:
 Issuing conditional orders for issue of warrant of arrest [due to the nonattendance of a debtor on foot of a summons];
 Seeking proof of service of conditional orders;
 and Submitting warrant of arrest applications to the Master.
Master’s Hearing Team (MHT)
The MHT will provide direct support to the EJO Master.
 The MHT will deal with any referral or application made by way of objection or
review to be referred to the Master as detailed within the terms of EJO
legislation or by instruction from the Chief Enforcement Officer.
 Provide direct administrative support to the Master during the course of
hearings.
 Deal with the issuing of hearing notices and adjournments as well as issuing
orders of enforcement and other decisions made by the Master following
Court hearings; and
 Any queries relating to hearings.
Case Progression Team (CPT)
This team will review active cases and ongoing enforcement until such time as the
case file is closed or until limitation of enforcement protocol has been deemed as
being met by the Chief Enforcement Officer.
Enforcement Support Team (EST)
The EST will be responsible for completion of activities where such activity does not
relate to the onward progression of enforcement. For example: Non-specific queries;
Generic queries regarding enforcement processes; complaints and correspondence
raised by political representatives or voluntary or statutory bodies.
Repossession Team (RT)
The RT will with all applications for the recovery of land and property as well as the
recovery of goods (such as vehicles)
