WANG Yuanzheng
Mr. Wang Yuanzheng is a senior officer in the Economic Policy Section, Air Transport Bureau,
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). He has nearly 30 years of experience and
extensive knowledge in international air transport regulation. He joined the ICAO Secretariat in
1991 and has been an active member in the work of ICAO’s economic policy program.
He has been responsible for the development of several primary ICAO publications on
economic regulation, including Policy and Guidance Material on the Economic Regulation of
International Air Transport (Doc 9587) and the Manual on the Regulation of International Air
Transport (Doc 9626). He has been involved in the work of all recent ICAO global air transport
meetings as well as serving as Manager for the Preparatory Seminar of the Conference on the
Economics of Airports and Air Navigation Services of 2000. He is currently the Secretary of
the ICAO Air Transport Regulation Panel and the coordinator and author of the recent
ICAO Secretariat study on the safety and security implications of economic liberalization.
