Free Seminar Series Fall 2016 The History and Culture of Disease and Healing is a seminar-style course presented in collaboration with The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health, Rice University & the University of Houston. This course is a humanities course offered to professionals and students of professions in the fields of medicine and health. Seminar attendance will include registered students from above institutions and professionals in public health related disciplines. Seminar Topics Include: Screening on Trial: History and Controversy in Cancer Screening Slavery, Human Trafficking and Social Justice Unintended Consequences of the U.S. Global War on Drugs: Public Health Concerns and Efforts to Control HIV/AIDS.
