Objective: to learn and teach your peers about one teratogen
Directions: You and your partner will be responsible for one teratogen to research and create a public
service announcement. Please use only credible sources. Research the answers to the applicable
questions below. Include citations. USE YOUR OWN WORDS! Including CITED pictures is also nice!
Questions to answer in your pamphlet:
1. What are teratogens?
2. What is YOUR teratogen?
3. What impact does it have on development? (be detailed and specific!)
4. How can those impacts be avoided? (for example, should the teratogen be avoided throughout all of
pregnancy? Just the first trimester? Is moderate exposure ok?) Make sure you are using credible
sources to answer these questions, as there can be conflicting information online.
5. What do we still not know? What research is currently being done on this topib?
6. Include and a call to action for those reading your pamphlet
