Passing out of MATH020:





If you place into MATH020 and wish to place higher, you are allowed to take the
accuplacer test a second time if all of the following conditions hold:
o
You have not yet enrolled in MATH020.
o
There is reason to believe you will do better (a h.s. transcript showing
success in algebra 2, a recent refresher course,...)
o
You have only taken the test once before.
You cannot take the accuplacer test a second time if you have already enrolled in
MATH020.
You cannot take the accuplacer test a third time for any reason.
If you are still unhappy with a placement of 020, you can study the material (see
content below), and petition to pass out by examination (a $75 fee). If you pass,
you will receive the 3 credits. You only have one chance.
However, this credit by examination offer is not available if you have failed or
withdrawn from 020.
