Title Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer Based at: Norwich Office Job Summary: We require a Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer with 1-3 years’ experience to join our Norwich based team to work on a wide variety of challenging projects. The role will consist of the preparation of design calculations and drawings under the supervision of a Senior Engineer. Experience in Infrastructure /Drainage design together knowledge of structural design in materials such as Masonry, Concrete, Steel, Timber will be an advantage. A basic working knowledge of drawing production tools such as Revit and Autocad will be required although training will be provided to supplement existing skills. The role will involve liaising the team and other construction professionals throughout the design and construction process and excellent communication skills coupled with a personable and professional disposition will be expected. It is expected that candidates will be registered as Graduate Members of the Institution of Civil or Structural Engineers. Full mentoring and training will be provided in order to progress the candidate towards Chartered status at the earliest opportunity. We are currently involved in a large number of projects ranging from small scale refurbishment through to multi-million pound developments and the role will include involvement on the full range of projects in the office. The position will offer significant opportunity for professional development in a multidisciplinary environment. Involved in project design from commencement to completion. Preparing design calculations and drawings. Communicating with members of the team and other construction professionals. Supporting Senior Engineers in carrying out the project design. Carrying out Professional Development and maintaining records in accordance with ICE or IStructE requirements in order to progress to Chartered status. Ability to show initiative and drive and to manage time effectively.
