Increases HDL, Interferes with
the absorption of other drugs
Increases HDL, decreases LDL,
CONTRAINDICATED WITH LIVER
DISEASE.
SIDE EFFECTS: upset GI, Increase
liver enzymes, myopathy
(B) Niacin : niacin, Nicotinic Acid
– decrease hepatic production
of VLDL, Decreases LDL and
