Monoclonal Antibody
Name: CK-2A7- MOUSE ANTI- Creatine Kinase
Clone No. 2A7
Specificity: Creatine Kinase - M and/or B subunits (not native enzyme)
Species: Chick muscle/brain, Human muscle, Rabbit brain, Torpedo
(not Rat muscle, not Rabbit muscle, not Human brain)
Isotype: IgG1
Western blot: Stained 40 kD band of M-CK in muscle extracts (H = heart, Br = brain, Mu =
muscle).
Immunolocalization: Can be used for localization of M-CK in acetone-methanol fixed human
cells or tissue sections.
(May NOT immunoprecipitate native CK)
Immunogen: Purified Chick BB-CK.
Epitope: AA 30 – 89 of chick M-CK with K39 essential
Storage recommendation: Store one month's use at 4oC and remainder in aliquots at –20oC.
Stable for at least 12 months under these conditions
Supplied as liquid culture supernatant in DMEM/10% horse serum (contains AZIDE: toxic!)
(Identical culture medium can be supplied as negative control)
Note: Myeloma NS1 used instead of usual Sp2/0
