SUSTAINABLE CERTIFICATES ANNEX
“Our commitment with the present to ensure the future”
SUSTAINABILITY
In TEJIDOS ROYO we are firmly commited to our workers, to Society and with the Environment.
At Tejidos Royo, working with raw materials with guaranteed quality of origin is mandatory. For this reason, we work with suppliers who have materials certified under the Oekotex 100 Standard, meaning, they have passed a series of analytical checks that ensure
they do not contain substances which are harmful to human health or the environment.
Together with our suppliers, we have implemented an environmental management system certified under the label STeP (Sustainable Textile Production) by Oekotex, which
regulates the use of environmentally friendly chemicals, guarantees the fullfilment of quality criteria of production and management of chemical products, as well as ensuring the
good working conditions for our workers under a continuous improvement perspective.

Certification which guarantees the traceability of products containing more than 20% of
recycled material in the final composition of the article.
At Tejidos Royo, we are preparing a Certification Tag for products containing recycled
cotton (pre-consumer and post-consumer) as well as products containing raw material
recycled polyester. For recycled raw materials, our nominated yarn supplier is Hilaturas
Ferre, who offers raw materials certified under GRS, guaranteeing total process and materials traceability.
Pre-consumer: Garments destined to the recycling process without having had contact
with the consumer (unsold garments, outlet units).
Post –consumer: Garments intended for recycling once already used by the consumer
(once already put on the market).

COTTON EXCLUSIVE EXTERNAL RECOGNITIONS
Organic Cotton by
Organic Cotton is considered to be certified by a third party organism (ECOCERT), which
proves that its production has been carried out under organic production and complies
with the provisions of Regulation (EC) Nº843/2007.
It only allows the use of authorized chemical products and controls the natural cropping
cycles (rotation of the soil and application of natural techniques). Prohibits the use of
pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers.
The use of genetically modified cotton seeds is prohibited.
The certificate is granted for each cotton batch supplied and must be traceable throughout the production chain.
This initiative is commited to sustainable cotton production, based on three key pillars;
Environment, Social and Economic. BCI is obtained under controlled prices, having direct contact with the farmers by avoiding intermediaries, and by providing decent work
conditions in the producing countries.
-BCI Controls the working conditions as well as the chemicals used, in order to respect
the rights of workers.
-It applies better cultivation techniques and promotes the reduction of the use of pesticides and chemicals harmful to people and the environment.
-To guarantee the traceability of the raw material, there is a credit transfer system, depending on the purchased / supplied material.
-Both the supplier and the customer must be registered with BCI to make the transfer of
credits corresponding to the BCI chain of custody.
