Promotes cell attachment and cell differentiation in tissue culture.
For the preparation of basement protein substrate in bottom of petri dish or
coverslips placed in petri dishes, they should be covered with Matrigel - 100
µg/ml in PBS, and then air dried under aseptic conditions. Cells should be
plated out as usual into these dishes as soon as the basement matrix has dried.
Matrigel should be kept on ice when used - it becomes a stable gel at RT.
