Lessons Aims:
After this lesson, the student should:
 know and understand the angle facts for parallel and
intersecting lines.
Prerequisite Knowledge: Angles, parallel and intersecting lines
Key Vocabulary:
parallel lines, intersecting lines, opposite angles,
corresponding angles, alternate angles
Challenges:
There are three special types of angles: opposite, corresponding
and alternate. This might be confusing for some students.
Teaching Notes:
Ensure that students fully understand and appreciate what is meant
by opposite, corresponding and alternate angles.

Opposite Angles
When any two lines cross, two pairs of equal angles are formed.
The two angles marked a are a pair of opposite equal angles.
The angles marked b are also a pair of opposite equal angles.
Corresponding Angles
When a line crosses a pair of parallel line a  b
The angles a and b are called corresponding angles.
Alternate Angles
The angles c and d are equal.
