Chesterfield County Coordinated Transportation Program, Access
Chesterfield: Funding to support operating funds to support typical
operating cost for providing on demand transit service such as
operator/administrative salaries, insurance and maintenance costs.

Presbyterian Homes & Family Services and the Family Alliance Ways
to Work: Funding to continue support one full time Loan Coordinator, one
part-time Data Analyst, loan capital, supplies and borrower incentives. The
Ways to Work program provides low interest, character based, direct to
consumer auto loans to transportation challenged families.

GRTC Transit System: Funding to continue operation of the company’s
CVAN Welfare-to-Work program. C-VAN provides transportation assistance
for Virginia Initiative for Employment not Welfare (VIEW) participants.
Through C-VAN, GRTC Transit System is helping the Department of Social
Services remove transportation as a barrier to employment.

New Freedom Projects
Senior Connections Capital Area Ride Connection: Funding to maintain
and expand the Mobility Management Program a one stop resource for
referring clients with disabilities and low income to a network of both public
and private providers for medical and non-medical transportation services.
The capital component of the grant will fund the day-to-day operation of a
one-stop call center that disseminates and coordinates transportation
information, assist making trips plans and matching ride request to the most
appropriate and cost effective service provider.
The operating component of the grant will fund transportation providers for
non-emergency medical trips that are requested and authorized by Senior
Connections. A small amount of the funds is used to purchase fare tickets for
those that lack the funds to pay.
