National Diabetes Audit Results Review
Brighton and Hove General Practice involvement in the National Diabetes Audit has been
excellent. The results are due to be published early in 2017; the practice is reminded the
results need to be reviewed at a practice level within a practice meeting, prior to discussing
the results at a cluster meeting. We will inform the practice when the recent NDA results
are available so these meetings can be set up. The aim of this meeting is to share good
practice and identify areas for improvement. The areas for improvement will be required to
be fed back using the template to [email protected] and this will be
used to inform the ½ day updates for 2017/18.
Diabetes Training Needs Assessment
We would like to support you with an assessment of diabetes knowledge and competence
amongst GP’s and Practice Nurses in Brighton & Hove and High Weald, Lewes & Havens by
using a Training Needs Analysis questionnaire (Survey Monkey format).
This is intended to provide a benchmark from which to move forward with regard to
diabetes education and will help to identify particular areas in which those working in
primary care would welcome education and training. To make the survey as valuable as
possible we need all GP's and Practice Nurses working with patients with diabetes to
complete the questionnaire. The questionnaire will be open for responses for 3 weeks, until
27th January, using the following link:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DiabetesCareForYouBrighton
The survey will take approx. 10 minutes to complete. If you have colleagues who are
involved in diabetes management please pass this email / link onto them. As a result of the
questionnaire, we hope to be able to identify priorities for diabetes education and training.
